Accreditation names the clause of the document a laboratory is assessed to test against, rather than asserting a capability, which is what a tender asks for. The scope covers the Performance Testing Laboratory and the Metrology Laboratory at Chakan; the clause-by-clause detail is published across the standards library.

Issued for every programme, naming the document and the clause the test was performed to rather than only the result.
Calibration inside the same scope
The Metrology Laboratory is accredited alongside the Performance Testing Laboratory, so the instruments behind a result are themselves in scope.
Work accepted for defence programmes
The laboratory has been used by the Department of Defence for the pressure and burst testing of HARD bomb shells.
