Seismic qualification testing
Seismic and non-seismic vibration testing of valves and manifolds to nuclear standards, with test reports held and available.

Seismic qualification depends on the plant, the code it is licensed under and the mounting location of the equipment. Fluid Controls holds seismic and non-seismic vibration test reports for valves and manifolds tested to nuclear standards. Send your specification and our laboratory will confirm the programme required to qualify against it.

What we run
Seismic vibration testing
Valves and manifolds vibrated to the seismic requirement of the nuclear specification they are being qualified against, with a test report issued naming that requirement.
Non-seismic vibration testing
The companion programme covering normal operating vibration, which most nuclear specifications ask for alongside the seismic case rather than instead of it.
Shock and vibration to EN 61373
The same bench runs the railway rolling-stock severity categories to 60 Hz, which is the published capability the nuclear work is performed on.
Standards applied
EN 61373
Shock and vibration for equipment mounted on railway rolling stock, cited alongside IEC 60068-2-52 and IACS P2.2-12.
ISO 19879
Clause 13, cyclic endurance with vibration, which is inside the NABL accredited scope.
What we can show
Seismic and non-seismic test reports
Held for valves and manifolds tested to nuclear standards, and listed among the product approvals on the certifications page.
Your specification, not a generic profile
Seismic requirements differ by plant and by code. The programme is drawn up against the document you supply rather than against a profile chosen here.
The rest of the qualification in one place
Pressure, impulse and material results for the same valve come from the same laboratory and land in the same file.
