2D & 3D Modelling

Parts, connections and piping layouts modelled in 2D and 3D before anything is cut, so fit, clearance and routing are settled on the drawing.

Every assembly Fluid Controls designs is modelled in 3D before it is prototyped, and every special part starts as a model built against your requirement. The toolchain the R&D centre uses on its own products, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, HyperMesh and PDMS, is available on your project, and the model it produces is the one the analysis, the prototype and the manufacturing drawings are taken from.

What we can show

  • Drawings you can build from

Models are carried through to manufacturing drawings, so the part that is approved is the part that is made.

  • Piping layouts

Tube routes and connector positions modelled against your layout, including brake piping arrangements on rolling stock.

  • One model, three uses

The same solid model is meshed for finite element analysis and used to build the prototype, so the design is not redrawn between steps.
