Prototyping
A physical prototype built and type tested before bulk production, so a joint is proven leak-free and fit for purpose on the part rather than on paper.
Prototyping is the step between a validated model and a production order. Every assembly Fluid Controls designs goes through 3D modelling, FEA and prototyping before bulk production, and new products follow the same Design for Six Sigma cycle: design, FEA, prototype, test. The prototype is tested in our own laboratory, with in-house or third-party certification provided on request.

Built in house
Prototypes are machined and assembled on the same shop floor as production parts.
Type tested
Proof, burst, impulse, vibration and leakage on the prototype or sample, to the standard your application cites.
Certification on request
Results issued in house, or witnessed and certified by a third party where the specification requires it.
