Quick Release Couplings

Quick Release Connectors

Seven series to ISO 7241-A and -B, ISO 16028, ISO 14541, ISO 14540 and DIN, from 100 bar to 720 bar.

Fluid Controls quick release connectors offer easy connection and disconnection by hand, with zero leakage and no spillage at high working pressures. They are specified where a line is made and broken repeatedly rather than once: repetitive operations, quick change operations, and in-line operations where a tool-free break is the point of the fitting.

The connector seals and locks the joint to contain internal pressure and to resist the tensile forces that tend to pull a joint apart. The two halves are separated without tools by disengaging the locking mechanism and drawing them apart.

The range runs to seven series. ISO 7241-A and ISO 7241-B cover the A and B interchange patterns with BSP or NPT female threads; the A series is the widest in the range at 1/4" to 2" and 100 to 315 bar, the B series 1/4" to 1" and 100 to 250 bar. The DIN series takes BSP threads only, at 220 to 350 bar. ISO 16028 supplies the flat face pattern in two forms — a push type at 220 to 350 bar and a screw type at 500 to 550 bar, the latter also available with metric threads. ISO 14541 is the screw coupling poppet type at 250 to 350 bar. ISO 14540 is the high pressure screw coupling, ball type, at 720 bar in 1/4" and 3/8" with NPT threads — the highest rating in the range.

Applications run from mobile hydraulics and hydraulic tools to process and agricultural equipment.
