Rubber Hoses

Wire braid, textile braid and spiral hoses to EN 853, EN 854, EN 856, EN 857 and SAE J30.

Fluid Controls supplies rubber hose across five construction standards, spanning a 5 bar CNG line at one end of the range and a 450 bar spiral hose for cranes, mining plant and oil and gas equipment at the other. All five share the same two outer elements — a synthetic rubber core resistant to mineral and vegetable oil based hydraulic fluids, and a weather and wear resistant synthetic rubber cover. What separates them is the reinforcement, and with it the pressure the hose will hold.

EN 853 carries one or two layers of high tensile steel wire braid, in the 1SN and 2SN types and their 1ST and 2ST equivalents. EN 854 substitutes textile braid for lower pressure duty and is the hose specified for rail and metro brake piping. EN 856 runs four or six high tensile steel wire spirals and holds the highest ratings in the range. EN 857 has the same braided construction as EN 853 in a compact form, for equipment piping where the installation space is narrow. SAE J30 R6 is a single textile reinforced hose for CNG fitted vehicles.

Hoses are sourced from reputed manufacturers, or from those the customer has approved, and are quality checked at source before storage. Burst, proof, leakage and impulse testing is carried out to the customer's specification and witnessed by Fluid Controls inspectors or by a third party inspector.
