PTFE Hose – Unbraided
A hose whose core is a sintered tube of polytetrafluoroethylene, supplied without braiding. PTFE brings excellent temperature characteristics at both extremes, excellent chemical resistance, non-contamination properties, a low coefficient of friction and resistance to deterioration.
Sizes run 3 mm to 19 mm and working pressure 13 to 80 bar depending on tube size, carrying all fluids up to 260°C. The applicable standard is SAE J517-100R14, and the hose is available with electrical and non-electrical conductive cores. All PTFE and metal braided hoses are built to internal Fluid Controls standards.
Where the duty needs more pressure, the same core is supplied with single or double 304 series stainless steel braiding at 44 to 224 bar and 60 to 310 bar respectively.
